Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Carton Brewing in Atlantic Highlands, NJ brews some of our favorite beers. On the top of that list is Regular Coffee. This year they released cans of a variant they do on that, Irish Coffee. While thinking of pours to do this one was obvious. The Irish Coffee flavors blended nicely with Guinness. These two beers compliment each other nicely.

Guinnesspours.net is back
Wednesday, March 16th, 2016It’s been a while, but the site is back! We wound up losing the domain for a while, totally our fault, but now it is ours once again. We will begin posting again, but will likely take a little different spin on things. While we still love Guinness and all it’s history and culture, we have dived fairly deeply into the world of craft beer.
Patriotic Guinness on St. Patrick’s Day
Tuesday, March 27th, 2012Here is a patriotic story that got sent to us.
“As promised… I just walked into a local pub (PUB 25, Newtown, CT) and asked to speak with the Owner/Manager. I asked if I could leave a cold one on the bar for Michael all day . I showed him the “Reserved” sign I made and explained I wanted to leave him sufficient funds to buy a random person a Guinness every hour today, and that when the surprised patron asks him “Who is this from?” he should reply: “It’s from LT Michael P. Murphy.” and point to the reserved sign. The Owner/Manager was so in tune with this small gesture, he refused my money, introduced me to two men working in the PUB who just returned home from Afghanistan and Iraq with the ASSURANCE that my request on Michael’s behalf would be honored. God Bless America!”
This is from Connecticut resident, Jeff Beaurline, who walked into his local pub on St. Patrick’s Day and purchased a pint in honor of Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, a US Navy Seal who was killed in action while serving his country in Afghanistan in 2005. Jeff posted the image below, along with his story, to the “Seal of Honor” Facebook page here.
St Patrick’s Day, 100th Video, new iPad Black & Tan Guinness Pour
Saturday, March 17th, 2012Happy St. Patrick’s Day. What are your plans for tonight? What ever they are I’m sure they will include a pint or two of the Guinness. Tweet us pics of your pints, @guinnesspours.
This pour is our 100th YouTube video. It’s amazing that we have that many videos. We decided to do a Black & Tan since that is one of our most watched and commented on videos.
We also got our new iPad yesterday, so we filmed and edited the video with it.
Guinness Pours FAIL!!!!
Friday, March 16th, 2012Here is a compilation of some failed pours we’ve done this week. We have 3 total. I was going to post a Black and Red today but for some reason I couldn’t get it to work. We ran out of Killian’s so I grabbed a #9 out of the fridge. While that one wasn’t as big a debacle as the other 2 it just didn’t turn out right.
I swear the pack of draught cans was defective.
March Madness Guinness Pour
Thursday, March 15th, 2012Today we bring you our March Madness Guinness Pour. The NCAA Mens Basketball tournament starts today at noon, the exact time this published. I hope you got your brackets filled out. I picked Baylor and UNC at the end, but who knows with the way this thing goes.
We pulled out our Clover and Basketball glass for this pour. You can see I had a little trouble pouring there. I would usually redo it but it wasn’t my first bad pour of the evening. Seems like the cans I got have a bad widget and it kept staying at the top under the spout. I hope your team plays better than I poured that one!
Black Death, Burial Pour. Guinness and Rogue Dead Guy
Wednesday, March 14th, 2012We were thinking of different half and half combinations the other day. Doing a black and tan with Rogue’s Dead Guy Pale Ale came to mind. We came up with the working name of The Burial, as you are burying the Dead Guy with Guinness. Turns out we were not the first people to think of this combination and it has already been dubbed Black Death, which is also a fitting name. The pour is below, and of course the results are delicious!
Guinness Snake Bite Pour. Guinness and Magners Hard Cider Black and Tan
Tuesday, March 13th, 2012We have been loving the Half and Halfs, Black and Tans, Floats, what ever you may want to call them. One we have been wanting to do for a long time is with Guinness and Hard Cider. This combination has many names. Some call it a Snake Bite. There is also the Priest Collar moniker. Again we don’t care what you call it, it is delicious. Since we are posting this in the run up to St. Patrick’s Day we decided to go with an Irish hard cider and did this one with Magners. The Misses especially enjoys this one. It is a great variation on the classic Black and Tan that will pleasantly surprise anyone you serve it to.
Second Collectors Glass of 2012 Guinness Pour

The Glasses this year have old Guinness posters on them. Look for a pour from our new glass next Monday. Of course is it always a lovely day for a Guinness!
